Just up the road from Manini-holo Dry Cave are the wet caves. The first of the caves, Waikanaloa Cave, is just off the road. A little further up the road, and accessible by a short trail, is Waikapala’e Cave, also refered to as the Blue Room. This cave contains a freshwater pool and the back portion of the cave contains the Blue Room, caused by the light reflecting in the water on the cave walls; however; in recent years the water levels have dropped and the Blue Room isn’t quite as impressive as it used to be. If you’re up for an adventure, the only way to see the Blue Room is to swim through the freshwater pool to the back of the cave.

To get there, take Hwy 560 on the north shore. Manini-holo Dry Cave is located on the inland side of the island just after you drive over Manoa Stream. (You’ll know it is Manoa Stream because it flows right over the road – watch out for potholes.
